Published back in New Zealand, this publication reproduces the original issues of the prisoner-of-war camp newspaper "The Tiki Times", from Issue No. 1, 1st August 1944, to Issue No. 24, 17th January, 1945. The listed staff of the newspaper are all New Zealanders, with the exception of cartoonist E. Adhemar of Lancashire, England (7596309 Pte.) The Assistant editor was P. R. Earle of Hamilton, the Art Editor M. B. Wallace of Wanganui. "When the POWs at Milowitz were sent on a forced march westwards as the war drew to a close, Jack Gallichan packed up all the issues of the 'Tiki Times' in a backpack and carried them for three months until he was able to hand them to a wounded POW who took them to England.
